
Business Development Representative
About the Role:
This is a critical role in supporting our clients’ efforts to create cross-functional alignment with the external sales teams and to build a consistent, predictable, and scalable pipeline for revenue growth.
Your role will be a balanced mix of identification and development of outbound opportunities and nurturing the pipeline of in-bound leads through to confirmation of requirements at site. Once qualification is complete you will pass the opportunity to the field sales team through the booking of a confirmed site survey opportunity.
Key Tasks Include:
- Nurture inbound leads received from LinkedIn Business account / website / email marketing / SMS marketing / Lead forensics. Engage, develop, and book site assessments
- Source new leads on LinkedIn & Barbour ABI (sales lead platform)
- Contact new and existing clients daily to ensure expanded share of wallet, develop new opportunities and quote for new business
- Arrange and book site assessments / appointments for field sales to follow up from your calls with prospective clients
- Follow up with after sales / customer service. Enquiring about future business opportunities to supply
- Following training and coaching, speak about security services, product offerings, benefits etc
- Answer questions about products, services, and the company
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements to feed back to field sales ahead of appointments
- Enter and update customer information, record all notes and conversions in the CRM database
- Process orders in an accurate manner
About You:
- Outbound sales, business development, lead generation, telemarketing, or telesales experience (minimum 12 months)
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Telemarketing or sales team management or dynamic team leadership experience
- Experience of lead/appointment generation campaigns, measurement, targeting and lead process management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and ideally Salesforce
- Dynamic, self-starting, and self-motivated individual
- Strong telesales style – ability to proactively work and think with initiative
- Target driven
What’s On Offer:
- Annual salary of £25,000 + generous commissions and OTE of £35,000 (uncapped)
- OTE based on £25 per qualified opportunity + £25 bonus on resulting sales at KPI level
