Privacy policy for the use of Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

In the event that IP anonymisation is activated on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.

You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

Cookies:

Some of the Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Contact form

If you send us enquiries via the contact form, your details from the enquiry form, including the contact data you have provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Data collection on our website

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.

The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Tracking tools:

Our website uses functions of various web analysis services from other companies such as Google Inc. We explain in more detail below which services are used and which data are analysed.

Use of Google Analytics with anonymisation function

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”, on our website. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about the use of our online offer (e.g. when, where and how often you access our website, incl. IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. To ensure that your IP address is not personally identifiable, it is shortened immediately after it is recorded (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits) and thus anonymised. IP anonymisation also applies to all member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the European Economic Area. Further information on IP anonymisation and data use by Google can be found at:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=de.
If you would like to decide for yourself what data Google collects about the websites you visit, you can download a deactivation add-on for your internet browser. However, this add-on does not prevent data from being transmitted to us or other web analytics services we use. For more information on how to use and install the add-on, please see:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
If you are using a mobile device (e.g. smartphone) to access our website, please click on this link (important to insert opt-out link by your website admin here!) to stop analytics data being sent to Google Analytics. The above link is also possible as an alternative to the browser add-on already described, as it activates an “opt-out cookie” which is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, this cookie will also be lost and you will have to click the link again.

Use of DoubleClick by Google

Doubleclick by Google is a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Doubleclick by Google uses cookies to present you with advertisements that are relevant to you. A pseudonymous identification number (ID) is assigned to your browser in order to check which ads were displayed in your browser and which ads were called up. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies only enables Google and its partner websites to serve ads based on previous visits to our website or other websites on the Internet. The information generated by the cookies is transferred by Google to a server in the USA for analysis and stored there. Google observes the data protection provisions of the “US Safe Harbor” agreement and is registered with the “Safe Harbor” programme of the US Department of Commerce. Under no circumstances will Google combine your data with other data collected by Google.
By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and to the manner and purposes set out above. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the websites to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link under the item “Extension for DoubleClick deactivation”. For more information on DoubleClick by Google and data protection, please visit:
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de

Use of GA Audiences

This website uses GA Audiences, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”), collects and stores data from which user profiles are created using pseudonyms. Through this technology, users who have already visited our websites and online services will see targeted advertising from us on other external sites of the Google Partner Network. For this purpose, a cookie is set on your computer to analyse user behaviour when visiting the website and can then be used for targeted product recommendations and interest-based advertising. By setting the cookie, no personal data is stored and processed. If you do not wish to receive interest-based advertising, you can disable Google’s use of cookies for these purposes by following the instructions at https://www.google.de/settings/ads/onweb#display_optout.

Using Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager from Google. Google Tag Manager can manage a wide variety of website tags from marketers through one interface. The tool (Tag Manager, which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain and does not collect any personal data. Only tags are triggered, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, this remains in place for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Use of DoubleClick ad Exchange

Doubleclick Ad Exchange by Google is a service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Am-phitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). DoubleClick Ad Exchange delivers advertising banners to websites as soon as users visit one of the partner websites of the DoubleClick network. The ad server loads a cookie into the user’s browser to record information about their surfing behaviour. Among other things, this can be the search terms used for a product search. Since the ad server establishes a connection with the help of the cookie, corresponding advertising is displayed the next time the user visits the site. For this purpose, a 3rd-party DoubleClick cookie is also placed on the user’s device. More information about the DoubleClick cookie can be found on the Google website (retrieved on 15 October 2016): http://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/
By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google and to the processing of such data as described above and for the purposes set out above. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of our website to their full extent. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of the data generated by the cookies and related to your use of the websites to Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link under the item DoubleClick deactivation extension:
https://adssettings. google.com/anonymous?hl=en-GB&sig=ACi0TCigql3uTG8RvIWbqLmzLjQIjfwaEea3xFV5rKDiX-sCvvUBMHtp9-FRYqC2k2SiY85NU5gEm4Aq72X_PD9CEBM3159F2Q
Alternatively, you can opt out of DoubleClick cookies on the Digital Advertising Alliance site at the following link:

Using Google Adworks Conversion

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). Within the framework of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used to personally identify the user. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we will be able to recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google conversion tracking cookie via your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.
More information on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy:
https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Use of Google Remarketing

We use on our website the remarketing or “similar target groups” function of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). This function serves the purpose of analysing visitor behaviour and visitor interests. Google uses cookies to carry out the analysis of website usage, which forms the basis for the creation of interest-based advertisements. The cookies are used to record visits to the website as well as anonymised data on the use of the website. No personal data of visitors to the website is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously accessed product and information areas. Your data may also be transmitted to the USA. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO from the legitimate interest in targeting visitors to the website with advertising by displaying personalised, interest-based advertisements to visitors to the provider’s website when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network.
You have the right to object at any time to this processing of your personal data based on Art. 6 (1) f DSGVO for reasons relating to your particular situation.
You can permanently deactivate the use of cookies by Google by following the link below and downloading and installing the plug-in provided there:
https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996?hl=de.
Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third parties by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative disable page at
https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/
and implement the further information on opting out mentioned there.

Social media plugins:

facebook Pixel

This website uses Facebook’s visitor action pixel to measure conversions. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries. In this way, the behaviour of page visitors can be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook ad. This allows the effectiveness of the Facebook ads to be evaluated for statistical and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be optimised. The data collected is anonymous for us as the operator of this website, we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the users. However, the data is stored and processed by Facebook so that a connection to the respective user profile is possible and Facebook can use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the Facebook data usage policy. This enables Facebook to serve advertisements on Facebook pages as well as outside of Facebook. This use of the data cannot be influenced by us as site operator. The use of Facebook Pixel is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in effective advertising measures including social media. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to the storage of cookies), the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO; the consent can be revoked at any time. You can find further information on the protection of your privacy in Facebook’s privacy policy: https://de-de.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can also disable the Custom Audiences remarketing feature in the Ad Settings section at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences/?entry_product=ad_settings_screen. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, you can disable Facebook usage-based advertising on the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance website: http://www.youronlinechoices.com/de/praferenzmanagement/

Social media plugins with shariff

Plugins from social media are used on this website (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, XING, LinkedIn). You can usually recognise the plugins by the respective social media logos. To ensure data protection on this website, we only use these plugins together with the so-called “Shariff” solution. This application prevents the plugins integrated on this website from transmitting data to the respective provider when you first enter the page. Only when you activate the respective plugin by clicking the associated button, a direct connection to the provider’s server is established (consent). As soon as you activate the plugin, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are logged into your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook) at the same time, the respective provider can assign your visit to this website to your user account. Activating the plugin constitutes consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO. You can revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

Facebook Plugins (Like & Share Button)

Plugins of the social network Facebook are integrated on this website. The provider of this service is Facebook Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. However, according to Facebook, the data collected is also transferred to the USA and other third countries. You can recognise the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on this website. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/?locale=de_DE When you visit this website, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of this website to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. For more information, please see Facebook’s privacy policy at: https://de-de.facebook.com/privacy/explanation If you do not want Facebook to be able to associate your visit to this website with your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account. The use of Facebook plugins is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring the greatest possible visibility on social media.

Instagram plugin

Functions of the Instagram service are integrated on this website. These functions are offered by Instagram Inc, 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account, you can link the content of this website to your Instagram profile by clicking on the Instagram button. This allows Instagram to associate your visit to this website with your user account. We would like to point out that we, as the provider of the pages, have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Instagram. The use of the Instagram plugin is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in ensuring the greatest possible visibility in social media. For more information, see Instagram’s privacy policy: https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/.

Fanpage on Facebook / Facebook appearances

Our presence on social networks and platforms, such as Facebook, serves active and up-to-date communication with our customers and interested parties. We provide information there about our services, products and interesting special promotions relating to our company. When visiting our online presences in social media, your data may be automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes. These can be used, for example, to place advertisements within and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to your interests. Cookies are generally used on your terminal device for this purpose. The function of cookies is explained within the scope of our data protection instructions, so please see the corresponding notes there. Visitor behaviour and user interests are stored in these cookies. This serves to protect our legitimate interests in an optimised presentation of our services and offers as well as effective communication with customers and interested parties, which outweigh our interests in the context of a balancing of interests. The legal basis for the processing is therefore Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f EU-DSGVO. If you are asked by the respective social media platform operators for consent (agreement) to the data processing, e.g. by means of a checkbox, the legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU-DSGVO. Insofar as the aforementioned social media platforms have their headquarters in the USA, the following applies: For the USA, there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission. This goes back to the EU-US Privacy Shield. A current certificate for the respective company can be viewed on the following website: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of an agreement between jointly responsible parties pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO, which you can view here: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum

LinkedIn Analytics and LinkedIn Ads

We use the conversion tracking technology and retargeting feature of LinkedIn Corporation on our website.
With the help of this technology, visitors to this website can be served personalised advertisements on LinkedIn. Furthermore, the possibility arises to create anonymous reports on the performance of the advertisements as well as information on website interaction. For this purpose, the LinkedIn Insight tag is embedded on this website, which establishes a connection to the LinkedIn server if you visit this website and are logged into your LinkedIn account at the same time. In LinkedIn’s privacy policy at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy you will find further information on data collection and data use as well as the options and rights to protect your privacy. If you are logged in to LinkedIn, you can deactivate the data collection at any time at the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/enhanced-advertising.

Twitter

Our website contains functions (plugins) of the microblogging service Twitter, which are offered by Twitter Inc, 1355 Marktet Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA, hereinafter “Twitter”. The plugins are recognisable by one of Twitter’s logos (white bird profile on a light blue background, or the other way round and the text addition “tweet”). When you visit our website, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter servers. So-called “log data” is sent to Twitter via this connection, even if you do not have a Twitter account. According to Twitter, this can be your IP address, browser type, operating system or information about the websites you visit. No connection is made between your web activity and your name, email address, phone number or Twitter username. Twitter deletes, obscures or aggregates your log data after a maximum of 30 days. According to Twitter, all information collected by Twitter is used to personalise, evaluate and improve its own services.
Information on Twitter’s privacy policy can be found at:
https://twitter.com/de/privacy.
You can change your personalisation settings at
https://twitter.com/personalization
You can change your privacy settings on Twitter in your account settings at https://twitter.com/login?redirect_after_login=%2Faccount%2Fsettings.

YouTube

We use YouTube to embed videos to make our website attractive and informative for you.
When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. In addition to your IP address, the YouTube server may be informed which of our pages you have visited.
Our videos are embedded in “extended data protection mode”. This prevents the use of cookies, which YouTube usually sets, or at least reduces their number. The legal basis for our data processing is our legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) f DSGVO.
The operator of YouTube is YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube sets cookies to collect information about visitors to its website. YouTube uses these, among other things, to collect video statistics, to prevent and detect fraud and to improve the user experience. It may also connect to the Google DoubleClick network. When you start a YouTube video, this could trigger further data processing operations. We have no control over this. If you have a YouTube account and are logged in there at the same time as calling up our websites, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behaviour directly to your personal YouTube profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
For more information on data protection at YouTube, please see their privacy policy at:
https://www.youtube.de/t/privacy
Or at:

In the case of a child’s consent, this only applies when the child has reached the age of 16. In the case of a child under the age of 16, we always obtain the consent of the holder of parental responsibility or the person with legal guardianship for an offer in the service of the information society. This consent would then be dispensable if the child is directly offered prevention or counselling services (EW 38).

How long is the data stored? (Art. 13 para. 2 a DSGVO)

The legislator has enacted a variety of storage obligations and periods. In principle, we only store your data for as long as is required by law
After expiry of these periods, the corresponding data is routinely deleted if it is no longer required for the fulfilment of the contract. We store data that we process on the basis of your consent until you revoke it or for as long as the data is required. We store data that we process on the basis of a legitimate interest for as long as the legitimate interest exists.
Commercial or financial data from a completed financial year will be deleted in accordance with legal regulations after a further ten years, unless longer retention periods are prescribed or required for legitimate reasons. If data is not subject to specific retention periods, it will be deleted when the purposes for which it was processed cease to apply.
For what purposes and on what legal basis do we process your personal data? (Art. 13 para. 1 c, d DSGVO)
We have already explained the purposes and legal bases for data processing. In addition, the following generally applies: Where necessary, we process your data to protect the legitimate interests of us or third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1f) DSGVO, for example, for the assertion of legal claims and defence in legal disputes or for ensuring IT operations and security.
If we have a legitimate interest or have received written consent from you to process your personal data, we will process your data for external communication and marketing purposes based on Art. 6 para. 1 a or f DSGVO. You have the right to revoke your consent at any time. For the fulfilment of legal requirements, we may or must, if necessary, process your data and pass it on to third parties (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1c). We do not use your data in any way for automated decision-making or profiling.
We also use cookies to provide you with an improved service when using our website and to make it easier for you to use this website (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO).

What rights and obligations do you have? (Art. 13 para. 2 b, c, d, e DSGVO).

  • According to Art. 15 DSGVO, you have the right to information. This means that you can request confirmation from us as to whether personal data relating to you are being processed by us.

  • According to Art. 17 of the GDPR, you have the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”). This means that you can demand that we delete personal data relating to you without delay – unless we cannot delete your data because, for example, we have to comply with statutory retention obligations.
  • According to Art. 18 DSGVO, you have the right to restrict processing. This means that we are practically no longer allowed to process your personal data – apart from storing it.
  • According to Art. 20 DSGVO, you have the right to data portability. This means that you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format and to transfer this data to another controller.
  • According to Art. 7 (3) DSGVO, you have the right to withdraw your consent for the future at any time.
  • According to Art. 13 DSGVO, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

In addition, you have the right to object, which we explain in more detail at the end of this data protection information. If you wish to exercise your rights, please contact the data protection officer (see above for contact details).
